REFLECTION
Experience
This module has actually been really fun and fulfilling as I have been wanting to learn more about publishing since I started degree. This was one of the more memorable modules throughout the past two years and I enjoyed every single class and learning new things, even irrelevant fun facts sometimes. Exercises were super fun to work on in class since we had freedom to do pretty much whatever we wanted and it was up to our own creativity. The main highlight for me was definitely Task 3A when I finally got to print the book out and the pure joy of holding the final book in my hands was just indescribable.
Observation
What I realized was that our layouts played the biggest role in our book because everything revolves around it and the final book could have looked really different just because of the layout. It took a lot of trial and error (and even plastic surgery by Mr Vinod) to get the final look and man did it look hideous in the first drafts HAHA. Especially since this was a different style than what I usually so I was also a bit unsure whenever I was placing something not following the grid.
Findings
Well, I found out where part of our resources fees were going to. Prior to this module, I did not even know we had printing credits. I also realized I still enjoy illustrating and if I spent a little more time on the visuals, it could have come out nicer than what it currently is. I took a pretty long break from illustrating and I think I might get back into it.
