EXERCISE 1

Week 3:
I recorded the narration for the main character and the cat using Audacity. Had to switch off my fan and use the aircon instead to reduce background noise. Thank goodness there were no random noises or car honks so the process of recording was smooth.

Week 4:
I downloaded the video from our senior's Youtube video and started searching and downloading the sound effects needed. Editing the video was very tedious as I had to adjust the volume levels and sync it with the video. In the end, I was quite satisfied, aside from some missing sound effects. I thought I was ready to submit it.

Week 5:
No. I was not ready to submit it. I used the WRONG script. How? My dumb brain was not aware of the provided script AND video. So I actually used the official script I found online. My genius is almost frightening.

So yes. I had to redo the narration as well as add some missing sound effects like footsteps, the deep breath, and adjust the volume levels according to the general guide for volume Mr. Martin told us about. Anyways, below is the final video.

For the stadium, my interpretation was that it was the commentators speaking.

REFLECTION

With every passing day, I feel my IQ going down. But at least my two brain cells are still functional enough to do assignments. The assignment was not hard, but tedious. Overall, pretty fun to do voice acting even though I clearly cannot sound like a guy. This assignment also opened up my eyes to notice sound effects in shows that I watch which is something I have never realized. Very interesting to see how much work is done that is invisible to the average viewer.
